Yes,kind of. 'Coz if they are really "that close" then i guess it's a reason enough for her to tell him about it. As we could see, the guy felt bad coz of that 'coz he's expecting that the girl would definitely tell her because they are so close.

But to the girl's side,I guess what happened to her wasn't a simple illness and that stopped her from telling,'coz if it's not a big deal, then why should she hides it?
Maybe,she would tell it when she's ready or if not, then the guy must understand her feelings too because there are things that would be hard to be open with someone no matter how close they are.

The best thing to do is that they really should talk,the girl must explain it to the guy why she can't tell ir or what so the guy wouldn't feel unimportant or feel that he's not good enough to be trusted.
The guy has a fault too 'coz he is kinda agressive of knowing what really happened but i guess it's normal,even we acted that way sometimes especially when it happened to the person we care about.
We always wanna know like almost everything about the person we care about so i guess that's the how the guy dealt with it.
