Film Reviews: In "Steam," helmer/scribe Kyle Schickner ("Strange Fruit") juxtaposes three separate, equally banal stories about women at different stages of maturity. Pic avoids that common pitfall of the multistrander -- the coincidence pile-up -- mainly because the women only bond sporadically in the steam room, exchanging a few pleasantries before hieing off to their respective ongoing dramas.
