Default DVD/CD Copying

Do you think it should be legal to copy CDs and DVDs? I think it should be legal if you own the CD or DVD and copy it (with no intention to sell it). I think it should be illegal if you rent a DVD from Blockbuster and then copy it.

It should be legal to copy DVDs and CDs if you own them though because you might want a backup and another copy for your car or something.

What are your thoughts?

I dont think it is fair copying dvd's and cd's from blockbuster and other rental stores but yes i think you should be allowed to copy if you wanted.

Yeah because stuff can happen to DVD's so if you should be able to back them up. The only problem is that you can lose the DVDs and then the Movie company loses money.

Yeah, but if you want, you can go to the Companys website and buy it for a fair amount of money. If stores sold you it for the same price they bought it for. There wouldn't be a store to go to.

The same.

I hate when people think they have every single right to steal such as though the world owes them. That is ridiculous.
