Default How to get radiant skin all over

Radiant, glowing skin is a surefire
way to look more sexy and attractive,
especially around men.

Follow these tips to get the results
you want...

Eat the Right Foods

Oily fish (tuna, sardines, salmon) are
full of the good oils, the omega-3
fatty acids.

They'll give you silky skin and glossy
hair, as well as help to prevent you
from getting diabetes and protecting
your cardiovascular system.

Stay Hydrated

Water helps keep your skin hydrated.
The good thing about moist skin is
it's stronger and more resilient than
dry skin.

Drinking water is especially important
during and after exercising, as you
will be losing extra fluids from
sweating.

Exfoliate

One of the quickest ways to get a
radiant complexion is gentle
exfoliation, which literally scrubs
away dead cells on the skin's surface.

Since these cells reflect light
unevenly, they may make your
complexion look about as luminous as
a lump of clay.

Get Wrapped

If all-over glow is what you're
looking for, body wraps and scrubs
deliver.

Scrubs rely on natural exfoliants,
such as brown sugar, sea salt, and
oatmeal, to gently polish away old
layers and reveal the radiant skin
beneath.

Also try a wrap, where technicians
cocoon you in steamy layers of linen
and ointment, for total-body
relaxation and optimal pampering of
your skin.

Just don't forget to drink plenty of
water; all that steam can be
dehydrating.

Cleanse With Care

First, avoid makeup removers that
contain alcohol or witch hazel,
because these chemicals dry skin out,
especially around the eyes. Instead,
use plain vegetable oil, then wash
your face.

If your skin is normal, you should
use a non-soap cleanser like glycerin
or Cetaphil once a day. If it's dry,
you can forego products altogether and
simply rinse with warm water.

Those with oily or combination skin
should choose a cleanser in the normal
to oily range and wash twice a day.
Then follow with a moisturizer.

Be Quick About Baths

Dry skin isn't limited to the face. To
help moisturize the rest of your body,
keep baths and showers short and use
a non-soap cleanser.

When you get out of the tub, towel-dry
lightly and moisturize immediately.

That advice goes double for hands,
since they get washed so frequently.

In fact, it's a good idea to put a
bottle of moisturizer next to the soap
dish in your kitchen and bathroom so
you'll remember to apply it after
every washing.

And if you do dishes by hand, wear
gloves or use a non-detergent soap and
moisturize liberally afterward, since
the combination of hot water and soap
is deadly to your skin.

Exercise

It improves the circulation of the
blood, increasing oxygen in the skin.

Oxygen boosts your skin's natural
collagen building and increases skin
regeneration.

Both of these processes lead to
healthier, more radiant skin.

Wear Sunglasses

The skin around your eyes is the most
sensitive area of your face.

Wearing sunglasses will protect this
vital area from the sun, and they will
prevent you from squinting in bright
light, which contributes its share to
fine lines and wrinkling.

Less is More

Be gentle with your skin. The fewer
products you put on your face, the
better.

What most women do not realize is that
there are specific "triggers" that
affect our skin's ability to be
naturally beautiful and radiant.

Here are some of those triggers to
avoid...

Avoid Smoking...

Smoking promotes wrinkles in two ways:

First, it causes blood vessels to
shrink so you don't get proper
circulation. This leads to reduced
oxygen in the skin, which slows down
the crucial collagen formation.

Second, smoking interferes with the
skin's natural defenses against free
radicals. When free radicals occur,
skin breaks down. Smoking also
increases the risk of some skin
cancers.

Avoid Stress...

Some doctors advocate short-term
psychotherapy to help alleviate skin
symptoms exacerbated by stress.

Stress can make many conditions worse,
including acne , psoriasis and eczema.
Stress also causes sweating, itching
and hives.

Avoid sudden Dietary Changes...

If you're not getting enough fatty
acids, your skin can lose luster.

People with eating disorders lose
proteins and vitamins, which leads to
extremely dry skin and other problems.

Avoid Sunburns...

All sun exposure over time accelerates
the wrinkling process and causes brown
spots- and most importantly, the risk
of skin cancer.
