Who should be the first to apologize when there is/are an argument?

Actually, it depends on the situation.
The firsts one who should apologize are the ones who started the argument,the ones who are in the wrong side of the argument..
But a guy should be a gentleman enough to apologize first whether it's his mistake or not.

I'm a girl so I'd say the guy, it would save so much trouble and time if they just said they were sorry instead of the whole "its not my fault so i wont say sorry unlesss she says sorry first."

i think that the guy should usually aplogize... then agian the guy is usually in the wrong.
if the girls in the wronge she should apologize! otherwords when to girls fight there would be no end!! lol heee (OH! i know girls like that hmmm...)
