Forum Moderators (Not ours)

Don't you think that most forum moderators (except here at AllTopix) act like they are god? Like bashing newbies instead helping them or always pointing to the forum rules instead explaining why the rules exist or make sense?

If you visit other forums you know what I mean.

What do you think about "god-like" moderators who prefer to say "Hey asshole, your siggyis too large" instead explaining why signature rules are in place and how it helps dialup users?

i've hadda put up with some pretty pompous mods on some other forums.. tis why i never stayed there. XD

glad in here, it's a frienly forum so it's a big no..no.

ya i wouldnt know cause i don't go on other forums. but i think bren is the most amazing moderator. cause she explains everything. like she explains why she's closing a thread. and if something we have is too big she explains how to make it smaller and stuff.

I've experienced that on another forums a long time ago...and got banned for questioning their actions too...

Well, I think that those mods have no patience on talking or dealing with newbies and that they believe they are superior to them since they believed they have attained some rank...or something like that.

I like it here since mods here are a lot more different than those outside...^_^

It also is kinda annoying when mods just go through and read stuff and ban people and stuff. I think it's better when they talk and post stuff too and be a part of the community.
